Our Story
Hello, my name is OluwaJuwon (Juwon). As an international student from Nigeria and a member of the Glendon Student Union, I understand the unique challenges of studying abroad. That’s why I started this project—to help others like me who may face similar hurdles.
When I first arrived in Canada, I had no idea how to secure housing. I chose to live in a residence, hoping to have access to a kitchen, as I’m passionate about cooking. However, I was shocked to discover that even though I pre-ordered kitchen utensils, I couldn’t use the kitchen except during the summer. I felt alone and lost, unsure of how to find a place to live that suited me. With my friends’ support, I eventually found housing resources, but the process was daunting. The nicer apartments were too expensive, and the affordable ones were far from ideal.
I know firsthand how stressful studying abroad can be, so I created Divine Peace Home Services. Our mission is to make your transition smoother by helping you find comfortable, affordable housing and connecting you with potential roommates.
