Overview
The David Wurfel Award provides financial support to an honours undergraduate or graduate student who has demonstrated the need to conduct research related to a thesis, course paper or project on the topic of Filipino history, culture and society. Although open to students studying at the undergraduate and graduate level, preference will be given to undergraduate and Master’s applicants. The award is open to students enrolled in York University in social science or humanities programs (including the Faculties of Law, Education, Fine Arts, and Environmental Studies), who have a GPA of at least 6.0. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, be Ontario residents*, and demonstrate financial need.

- Students must apply through the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) system.
