Overview
This award results from funds raised by the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change at York University, as part of the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund (OSOTF) program launched by the Ontario Government. The award was established to support master’s students registered full time in their second year of study. They must demonstrate financial need and academic merit.
Value and Duration
- One award of $1,200*
The value and number of award(s) in any given year will depend on the rate of distribution from the endowment fund, and the number of recipients selected.
Eligibility
- This award is open to students registered in the second year of their master’s program in the Faculty of Environmental Studies Program in the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change.
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
- Be an Ontario resident.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be registered full time in the second year of their master’s program in the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change.
- Be making normal progress in their program to qualify for the award, and they may not be carrying more than one incomplete grade from the previous term of study.
- One academic reference to complete the reference assessment form.
How to Apply
- Students must apply through the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) system.
