Facilities and Resources |
---|
Our innovative curriculum provides students with opportunities to interact with professionals from the private and public sectors experienced in managing large disasters and emergencies and to work in our new Disaster & Emergency Management lab with emergency management software. Faculty are committed to providing students with experiential learning opportunities such as attending field studies and disaster drills, engaging in emergency preparedness and response activities, or volunteering with emergency management specialists within public and private sector organizations. Whenever possible, you will also be encouraged to complement your work with research being done in a number of areas across campus like the Nathanson Centre for the Study of Organized Crime and Corruption, the York Centre for International and Security Studies, and a large number of other centres involved in geographic or area studies. |
