The Graduate Diploma in Management is open to all students who have completed an undergraduate degree in a field other than business, management, commerce or closely related field.
To be admitted to the graduate diploma, applicants must have:
- an Honours undergraduate degree from a recognized post secondary institution (international applicants should check York University degree equivalency page here).
- at least a B standing in the final two years of full-time equivalent study; (Transcripts and GPAs are assessed by Graduate Assessors and Graduate Credential Analysts at York University’s Graduate Admissions. Third-party GPA equivalences (e.g. WES) will not be accepted.)
- high competency in oral and written English.
English proficiency
International students and internationally educated domestic students must have completed at least one year of full-time study at an accredited university in a country (or institution) where English is the official language of instruction.

Applicants are required to fill out an Application for Admission Form as well as pay a non-refundable application fee. The documents required to complete the application include:
- Transcripts;
- Statement of interest (500-1000 words);
- Resume/CV
- English test scores (where applicable, see “English Proficiency” above)
- Supplementary Information Form (.pdf)
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of the professors in the program.
The application deadline is May 15* for the September start date.
Applicants will be notified of a decision regarding their acceptance into the September program by August 15. Students cannot defer their acceptance to the next term.

The program will be offered at the York University Markham Campus in September 2024. Classes are offered on weekdays afternoons and evenings (4-7 and 7-10 pm). The location is easily accessible by public transportation.
