Welcome to the School of Human Resource Management at York University! The School of HRM is uniquely dedicated to the study of human resource management in Canada and offers two graduate degrees: the Masters in HRM, and the PhD. Our faculty teaches and conducts impactful research on a wide range of HR-related topics, including strategic HRM, leadership, diversity and inclusion, careers, labour law, the role of labour in global value chains, work-life balance, collective organizing, and recruitment and selection. Our MHRM program is tailored to the needs and schedules of busy professionals and offers a mix of courses based on the core foundations of HRM including a growing list of elective courses based on emerging themes in the field. The full-time PhD program prepares students for a career in academia by offering opportunities to study and perform research with faculty who are leaders in a wide range of research areas. We support our students with small classes, qualitative and quantitative research training, opportunities to engage with other scholars globally through conferences, and supervisory support that is focused on student well-being and success. We encourage you to explore our program offerings and some of the research that is conducted at the School of Human Resource Management.
