Student Testimonial

Jonathon McSpadden seeks to investigate the use of sound and music in physical and digital casinos as a means of exploring the relationship between sonic space and gambling addiction in Hearing the Ante: Casinos, Gambling, and the Manipulative Force of Sound (working title). Using a two-fold approach, McSpadden aims to demonstrate both the physical nature of casino soundscapes, as well as their perceived nature by way of how they are heard and listened to.
