Reflecting on a rich tradition of participation, York’s MPPAL program once again immersed itself in the 2024 National CAPPA Case Competition last month. As the program’s dedication to excellence continued to shine, a cohort of eager candidates embarked on a journey of preparation and skill refinement, aiming to demonstrate their expertise and commitment to excellence on the national stage. These sessions, designed to immerse students in the intricacies of the case method, equipped them to tackle complex public policy dilemmas with creativity and precision. Embarking on the challenge titled ‘Phoenix Rising… Again? Taking Control of Federal Procurement,’ teams addressed dysfunction in the federal procurement system, drawing inspiration from real-world cases like Phoenix and the ArriveCan Application. Join us in celebrating their outstanding performance and invaluable contributions, showcasing the limitless potential of teamwork, innovation, and dedication. Their journey was made possible by the invaluable contributions of their professors, colleagues, faculty, and all others, whose immense support and guidance were crucial in navigating the challenges faced during the competition. A special thank you is extended to Professor Ogata and Professor Kapralos for their exceptional support and guidance throughout the competition.
