Celia Haig-Brown is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at York University. She has previously held positions with the University of British Columbia in the Native Indian Teacher Education Program and with Simon Fraser University. She came to Toronto in 1996 after a life time in various parts of British Columbia including Campbell River on Vancouver Island and Kamloops. She has three grown children and lives happily with her partner on the west side of the city.
