A New Award in the Faculty of Health Recognizes Staff Excellence

Staff award certificates

The Faculty of Health Dean’s Staff Awards, set to be introduced in Spring 2025, are a new addition to recognizing excellence within the Faculty.

“The staff awards actually are something very dear to my heart. It really is a recognition of those individuals who I consider the backbone of our Faculty,” said Monique Herbert, Associate Dean Faculty Affairs and Inclusiveness. “Creation of the Dean’s Staff Awards represents one of the key areas of the DEDI Advocacy Framework and Action and aligns with our strategic direction of seeing, hearing and supporting each other.”

There are two awards: the Dean’s Staff Award for YUSA1 members (York University Staff Association) and the Dean’s Staff Award for CPM members (Confidential, Professional and Managerial Employees).

The awards recognize outstanding contributions, leadership, professionalism, dedication to social justice and the impact of staff members for meaningfully advancing the Faculty’s Strategic Plan and significantly contributing to a culture of collaboration and inclusive community.
