Advisors

The Helen Carswell Chair in Dementia Care is guided by an exceptional advisory committee comprising individuals living with dementia, their family and friend caregivers, representatives from organizations such as the Alzheimer Society and Family Councils of Ontario, day program staff and managers, health policy decision-makers, and academics across Canada.

Together with our partners we formed an advisory committee. Committee members include older adults living with dementia; their family/friend caregivers; representatives of organizations who advocate for older adults and their families (Alzheimer Societies, family caregiver organizations, CanAge); day program staff, managers, and operators; and health policy decision makers. This advisory committee has agreed on the research questions and design and will collaborate with researchers on informing each phase of the research.
