All Faculty of Health students must complete General Education course requirements. General Education courses are designed to expose students to information from outside their chosen degrees that involve the following course content principles: breadth, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary, and critical analytical and research skills.
For BHS and BA Programs
Students must take a minimum of 18 credits as follows:
- six credits at the 1000 level in approved Faculty of Health general education or humanities categories approved by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies
- six credits at the 1000 level in approved Faculty of Health general education or social science categories approved by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies
- six credits at the 1000 level in natural science (NATS) offered by the Faculty of Science
For BSc Programs
Students must take a minimum of 12 credits as follows:
- six credits at the 1000 level in approved Faculty of Health general education or humanities categories approved by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies
- six credits at the 1000 level in approved Faculty of Health general education or social science categories approved by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies
For BScN Program (4-Year Direct Entry BScN)
Students must take a minimum of 12 credits as follows:
- six credits at the 1000 or 2000 level in approved Faculty of Health general education or humanities categories approved by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies
- HH/PSYC 1010 6.00
