The use and scalability of employing digital health tools and systems can play an important role in how people in both the Global North and Global South can achieve higher standards of health, better coordinate and share health information, and promote more efficient access to health services. Currently, there is a massive push around the world to develop the infrastructure and systems for information and communication technologies for health to promote equitable, affordable, and universal access to their benefits.
The Global E-Health Stream explores various aspects of digital health, such as artificial intelligence, global health informatics, health information systems, virtual communities, and use of information and communication technologies in the healthcare service sector.
The Global E-Health Stream will allow specialized honours students to take additional courses from the School of Health Policy and Management to deepen their knowledge and understanding in various aspects of related to digital health, eHealth technologies, and health informatic systems.
