Interim Dean of the Faculty of Health and Professor from the School of Kinesiology & Health Science, Chris Ardern points out that undergraduate students in the Faculty are able to study aspects of neurorehabilitation through an innovative experientially-focused course design where students have the opportunity to engage with health professionals and their clients. This experiential approach affords students time in the community with a neurorehabilitation clinician/researcher. Through interviewing and professional communication skills, students are able to explore what it means to be a clinician in this area of practice. In this issue of Innovatus, a special issue of YFile devoted to teaching and learning innovation at York University, discover how the Faculty of Health offers students immersive learning experiences, community engagement and cutting-edge education, research and practice.
