Elisa Valle

I am a fourth year undergraduate student, in the Honours BA Psychology Program here at York University. I am currently completing an Independent Research Project under the supervision of Dr. Adrienne Perry, focusing on the different external psychological stressors mothers of children with autism face.

My experience during my undergraduate degree has focused on precision teaching in an ABA lab, where the focus is helping young children with autism to improve their cognitive and social skills in both the classroom and in everyday life. After graduating from the undergraduate program, my interests are to eventually complete a Masters in Clinical Development Psychology and continue to grow my ability to help young children with different psychological disorders. Working with children who have autism has influenced my desire to continue focusing on this branch of research in upcoming years and help to improve the overall well-being of children.

Outside of my academic career, I really enjoy travelling to new places, taking my dog to different hiking locations and hanging out with close friends an family.
