Know where we are

Use the maps & directions to each of our campuses. All campuses are accessible by public transit, and ample daily rate parking is available if you choose to drive.


Bring with you

Be sure to bring with you the interview location and a campus map. Give yourself ample time to find the interview location when you arrive. Have a hard copy of your resume with you, any documentation that was requested (portfolio, presentation, proof of education/designations) and questions for the interview panel.

I've been offered a job, now what?

Congratulations! You've been offered the position. We've listed a few items that will help prepare you for your first day as a member of the York family.

Parking

All employees pay for parking on campus. Depending on your employment type, arrangements can be made to deduct (either monthly or by term) parking fees from your pay. For your first day, plan to park in a paid lot. For the location of the parking office, and details on forms to complete please visit the Parking Services website. Don't forget to bring your ownership in with you!

Transit

All of our campuses and satellite locations are transit accessible. York University also offers its employees and students complimentary shuttles that travel between locations.

There are many transit options to York University’s Keele campus, including the two new TTC subway stations on campus that have enhanced access and expanded our connections across the GTA. Several buses and transit companies are routed through the campus or have express services to York.

New Employee Onboarding

We welcome all new employees with a comprehensive onboarding program. Its purpose is to orient you to the policies, procedures, culture, expectations and the day-to-day responsibilities of working at York.  Before you start your employment, you are assigned an electronic onboarding path which includes activities and resources to complete within your first three months in your new role.

The onboarding program consists of:

  • Required training mandated by legislation and York policies and procedures;
  • The Working at York Series (as well as the Managing at York Series for new managers) - a collection of instructor-led onboarding Learning Sessions by key subject matter experts across York;
  • regularly scheduled meetings between managers and employees;
  • a peer mentor assigned by your manager; and
  • the Welcome to York session hosted by Talent Acquisition and Development in which you learn about key supports and services available to you, as well as meet other newly hired employees.
