Professor Soosan Daghighi Latham, from the School of Human Resource Management, and Roya Movahedi Ferdows are the authors of The Boarding School Girls: Development and Cultural Narratives. Boarding School Girls tells the stories of 11 Persian girls in the 1960s and ’70s who were sent to English boarding schools.
The book offers a psychological analysis of the British and colonial boarding school tradition and its impact on cross-cultural boarders. Latham and Ferdows, ex-boarders themselves, draw in “a unique collection of stories” and offer “emotionally embodied narratives of everyday lives.”
