In the aftermath of the the Las Vegas shooting where 58 died and more than 500 were injured, Disaster & Emergency Management Professor Jack Rozdilsky spoke with Global News. He explained planning and preparations made by hospitals and cities for large scale disasters and  how medical authorities manage mass casualty events.

“When these things take place it’s not a state of pure chaos, it’s a state of organized chaos where specific first responders have plans, they’ve been trained, and unfortunately expect these types of events to happen,” said Rozdilsky.
