English PhD candidate Lauren Fournier is the winner of the 2018 Middlebrook Prize for Young Canadian Curators.

Curating exhibitions at art galleries is not commonly associated with people whose scholarly pursuits lie in English. Fournier was on CBC Radio’s Metro Morning to speak about her winning project, epistemologies of the moon. The project will be presented at the Art Gallery of Guelph from September to December 2018. The award was presented at a gala awards ceremony, amongst leaders of the Canadian arts scene, at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto on March 7, 2018.
