Moving Forward webinar series in LA&PS offers more opportunities for engagement in 2021

By Anam Raheel

The COVID-19 pandemic will not stop us from engaging with our community. This is the commitment of the Dean’s Office in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS). Six new interactive webinars have been scheduled for the Winter term, the latest episodes in the Faculty’s Moving Forward series.

Launched in September 2020, the Moving Forward series invites students, alumni, faculty, staff and other friends of York into meaningful conversations about how to “move forward” in uncertain times. Moving Forward resonated with our community, drawing hundreds of participants in 2020. To view past episodes visit the YouTube playlist.

Moving Forward continues with six webinars for the Winter term

Each Moving Forward webinar engages successful York alumni for a unique take on progress, drawing on one of three sub-themes:

  • how organizations are moving forward in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic;
  • how our communities and organizations are moving forward on issues of equity and social justice; and
  • how students can move forward in their academic and career goals, through guidance from alumni who are graduates of the same program.

To register for this year’s Moving Forward webinars, RSVP via the links below. All are welcome.
