Our dedicated Research Office supports LA&PS faculty members who need assistance with identifying appropriate funding or award opportunities, proposal development, and navigating and building research partnerships. LA&PS External Grant Notice of Intent (NOI)
The LA&PS Research Office provides comprehensive review of funding proposals as well as samples, templates, and other resources and support. We can also help you identify funding opportunities that will be a good fit for your research project and develop a strategic research funding plan.
We encourage you to reach out to us as early as possible, as it is required you complete the Notice of Intent form and/or send an email to Shana Shubs, LA&PS Research Facilitator, at shanays@yorku.ca.

Dean’s Award for Research Excellence
The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence gives exceptional undergraduate students a unique opportunity to participate in research projects with faculty members. Over the summer term, students get hands-on experience and one-on-one mentoring in all aspects of the research process, culminating in a public event showcasing their work.
LA&PS Research Digest
The LA&PS Research Office publishes a bi-weekly digest to inform faculty members about upcoming external and internal grants and important research announcements. Each digest also features a research spotlight with brief snapshots showcasing LA&PS cutting-edge projects, research impact, and knowledge mobilization best practices.
