History student Jesse Thistle has won the 2014-15 Odessa Prize for his paper, “We are children of the river: Toronto’s lost Métis History.” School of Social Work PhD candidate Ameil Joseph won the Barbara Goddard Prize for his dissertation, “Authorities on the Subject: Deportation and the confluence of violence within forensic mental health and immigration systems.”
