DARE Project: Enhancing Grassroots Justice in COVID-19 Affected Sierra Leone: A Case Study for Timap for Justice
Program(s) of Study: Law & Society
Project Supervisor: Mohamed Sesay
From my research project, I gained an understanding of the role of law in countries outside of Canada and how it operates in seeking justice. I learned about the different ways in which the law is a tool of power and when used correctly, can change the lives of many by promoting equity, particularly for those who have been victims of the abuse of law. My DARE experience has taught me about how the paralegals of Timap for Justice handle different cases along with the tools and methods they use to aid their clients.
