DARE Project: Remembering and Memorializing Violence: Transnational Feminist Dialogues
Program(s) of Study: Gender & Women's Studies
Project Supervisor: Alison D. Crosby

This research project acts as a means of making people who've endured injustice, oppression and violence feel seen and heard. Mapping and creating timelines that visualize grief and mourning through scholarship, art and activism gives people a chance to have a tangible experience of memory and loss. This, hopefully, will bring about new perspectives on how state violence impacts not only the people of a specific region but all of us.

The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members. Find out more about DARE.
