DARE Project: Aggregation of Heterogenous Data in Hydrological Forecasting
Program(s) of Study: Commerce - Information Technology (Information Technology Auditing and Assurance)
Project Supervisor: Marina G. Erechtchoukova
This project investigates approaches to integrating and transforming data with various temporal and spatial resolutions while combining hydrological and meteorological data for developing predictive models based on Machine Learning techniques. It studies the effect of data granularity on predicting extreme hydrological events. This project contributes to developing effective and efficient technological solutions beneficial for all urbanized and mountain watersheds around the globe by providing information technology support for environmentally sustainable watershed management.
The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members. Find out more about DARE.
