I hope that my research will ultimately help prevent wildfires or minimize their impact on the communities around them.
Project Description:
This project focuses on the way wildfire predictive service agencies structure their offices, and explores how we can improve the use of forecasting, modelling, and prediction in wildfire management. I conducted a literature review to assess the state of the art on the topic, and synthesized my findings in a paper.The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) – Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members.
