Gilda holds an honours BA double major in Economics, and Italian Language & Literature from York University, and an International MBA from the Schulich School of Business. An interest in international trade and business development has shaped her academic and career path, and is at the centre of her current role representing the UK government in Canada, and working closely with UK and Canadian stakeholders to advance bilateral relations. She oversees many facets of industry and government to government engagement between the two markets, and across a diverse remit including from account management and business development, to devising and executing sector initiatives, to contributing insight to help shape a future Canada/UK free trade agreement. Her experience has evolved her skill set including in strategy and market development, project management, stakeholder management and collaboration, and leadership. 

 

Outside of this role, she enjoys cooking, walking, and hanging out with her dog.
