Jennifer Gold is President of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario, a Board Member of Legal Aid Ontario, and a partner of the law firm, Wood Gold LLP. She obtained her B.A. Honours from York University with a double major in English and Psychology. She went on to obtain her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. By entering into partnership to form Wood Gold LLP, Jennifer Gold and her partner sought to achieve work-life balance as well as a diverse and inclusive workplace. These efforts were noted by Carol Goar in her article for the Toronto Star entitled, “Women Create Family-Friendly Law Practice” and the Ontario Bar Association Podcast, “Work that Works”. In the practice of Family Law, Jennifer represents survivors of family violence. She is a former Board Member of North York Women’s Shelter. She has a keen interest in feminism, equity and inclusion, and smashing the ceiling.
Jennifer is the 2021 recipient of the Award of Excellence in the Promotion of Women’s Equality given by the Ontario Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Forum and 2017 recipient of the Lexpert Zenith Awards celebrating the advancement of women in the legal profession.
