Kamika joined WeShall Investments Inc’s executive team in 2020 as General Counsel for the company and its varied subsidiaries, including Kingsdale Advisors, QM LP, and The Harbor Club, St. Lucia to name a few. Her primary area of responsibility is managing the wide range of legal matters that arise for the group of companies. She is also a member of WeShall’s Management Committee where she helps to develop and oversee business and operational activities.

In June 2024 Kamika was the recipient of the Sun Life's Tomorrows Leader Award at the Canadian General Counsel Awards.

Prior to joining law, Kamika worked in academic research conducting award-winning health studies and writing published research papers on ways to improve health outcomes in the black Caribbean community of southeast London, the UK.

Kamika holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of London, City University; The Osgoode Certificate in Health Law; a Master’s degree in Health Promotion and Public Health from Brunel University; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Law & Society from York University.

Appointed by the Federal Government, Kamika serves on the Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee for the GTA, she is Vice President of the Council of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario as well as the Chair of the Disciplinary Committee.

She formerly sat on the Board of Directors of the Young Peoples Theatre as well as the Interim President and the Treasurer of the Black Female Lawyers Network.
