Kashmera Self is an award-winning executive with 20 years of financial services experience. She spent her first decade on product management and commercialization which brought Interac debit on mobile payments to 38 million Canadians and in 2023 surpassed 1 billion transactions in a 12-month period.

Most recently she was the Vice President, Strategy & Innovation tackling what were once emerging technologies transforming them into mainstays in today’s financial services landscape. Her blend between strategy and execution, delivered value to customers while shaping the future of the digital economy in Canada.

She has held various progressive roles at Interac Corp, is an active board director currently at Hasty Market, advisory board member at TICO, global speaker, fintech industry advisor, mentor, and lifelong learner.

Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including DMZ’s Women of the Year in 2023, Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network in 2021, M20/20 Rise UP recipient in 2020, Women in Payments Rising Star in 2017, and recognition by ACT Canada for Canadian Payment Innovation in 2016.
