I am deeply grateful for my education at York University, and I would not be where I am today in my career without having the luxury of being exposed to some of the greatest sociologists in the world. York’s sociology department brought out the best in me and influenced me to conduct policy-relevant, timely studies that meet the highest academic standards and that helped save lives. What’s more, I developed meaningful friendships with many dynamic students, support staff, and faculty at York. All my memories are warm, and I always look forward to visiting my alma matter.
