A Toronto-based Producer, Story Editor and Educator, Robyn is an active Ontario College of Teachers qualified instructor who also runs her own company, Free Bird Productions Inc., specializing in content development and creation. She has had the pleasure of teaching in the UK and Canada in French and English schools alike, and has worked on commercial, film and digital content both at home and abroad.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from York University with a double major in Theatre & French Studies, Robyn pursued both her Master’s degree and Bachelor of Education at the University of Toronto. She then turned to film production and her directorial debut Mammary Gland Malfunction screened at over 20 international film festivals and won multiple awards.
In the UK, her work for the award-winning animation outfit Cloudscape Studios involved her successfully securing Creative Skillset funding and organizing an animation training program for select students, which included a Masterclass by a Pixar Animating Director.
Robyn recently co-produced the independent feature film Adult Adoption, which is currently playing in select theatres across Canada. She is in post-production on writer Devon Bain's short film Guardian and developing Douglas Ewen's next horror feature MAIM, as well as the Telefilm and Ontario Creates-funded feature The Greatest.
Robyn regularly provides mentorship to aspiring writers and filmmakers and is also a registered mentor with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She resides in the north of Toronto with her British husband, baby daughter and their adopted farm cat, Josie.
