Darlene Ferreira is currently a Senior Policy Advisor with the Strategic Policy Division at MCCSS leading files across divisions. Previously a Senior Policy and Program Analyst in the Children with Special Needs Division where she led Autism Branch policy and program files. At the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development as a Policy Advisor, she supported a F/P/T forum on nationwide issues such as Indigenous engagement and labour mobility issues. She also promoted dialogue on antiracism as co-chair of the divisional CSND Anti-Racism Working Group and continues to lead the policy work of the Ontario Pride Network.
York helped drive my career forward which had stagnated in administrative roles and provided me the opportunity to learn and grow within my field of interest which allowed me to pursue my ideal policy role.
