Director - Global Talent Enablement, S&C Electric

Danielle Marshall is currently the Director – Global Talent Enablement for S&C Electric, leading a team of 17 HR professionals responsible for S&C’s talent, leadership development, and learning programs. Her major accomplishments include creating a Mentorship program, redesigning the development planning process, creating the talent review process, and launching a performance calibration process. In addition, her team conducted a redesign of S&C’s Leadership Development Program for a Hybrid workforce.

Before this role, Danielle led the Human Resources function for S&C Canada, overseeing Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Health & Safety, and Human Resources Services. Her major accomplishments include creating a Return-ship Program for parents returning to the workforce, launching the Canadian Women’s Group for S&C Canada, implementing a Career Framework and implementing Oracle-HCM for Canada.

Before joining S&C in September 2016, Danielle worked for Merrithew Health Fitness as the head of Human Resources, leading organizational design initiatives and implementing strategies to attract, coach, and develop talent, reporting to the CFO. Danielle began her leadership career at Martinrea International, leading and developing the HR function for a mid-sized facility.

Danielle has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, a post-grad diploma in Human Resources Management from Georgian College and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from York University. Danielle sat on the HRPA Board of Directors for the Toronto Chapter from May 2020 to May 2022. She also holds a Hogan Assessment certification and a Fostering Diversity & Inclusion Certificate from Yale School of Management.

The reason I chose to take the Master's program at York was the ability to work around my full-time career and personal life. I am grateful for the knowledge and networks I acquired during my time at York.
