Stacey Ann Berry is an Author, Entrepreneur and Government Relations Consultant. She is a service-driven leader who is passionate about community engagement and youth development. She currently serves as the Chapter President for Blacks in Technology Foundation, which makes tech careers more accessible for black professionals by providing resources, mentorship, career development and scholarships. As a public policy professional, she provides thought leadership on the impact of digitization of essential services, harm caused by bias in AI, surveillance technologies, and the importance of protecting human rights in the digital age.
She has a master’s in public policy administration and law, as well as an Honours BA in History and Law and Society from York University. She also has a diploma in Court and Tribunal Administration and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Seneca College.
Stacey is the recipient of the “Outstanding Contribution to Student Experience” Award from York University. She was recognized as one of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women as well as, Canada’s 100 Black Women to Watch by the Canadian International Black Women Excellence and the recipient of the G. Raymond Chang Outstanding Volunteer Award from Ryerson University.

York university prepared me to be an innovative and critical thinker and explore ways to use my education to add value to society. I learned about the important role of governance and public policy, especially in addressing human rights, social injustices and challenges in society. I have made great connections and developed valuable skills. I have been provided with opportunities to give back to York University as a mentor and guest speaker as well as, support numerous alumni and career development initiatives.
