Hunain Amir is a skilled cybersecurity professional with more than eight years of experience in the field. Along the way, he has worked for prestigious companies including Herjavec Group, Royal Bank of Canada, Geotab, Rogers Telecommunications, LivePerson, and Binance.US, where he is currently employed.

Hunain is a specialist in both defensive & offensive security and commits to preventative cybersecurity measures. He holds dual certifications as an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and an Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP). He has recently founded his cybersecurity consulting business, Syfera (SAE-FEY-RA), offering customized cybersecurity solutions that will help different businesses strengthen their digital infrastructures.

In addition to his career goals, Hunain uses his mentorship program "Cyber Sensei" to push industry expansion. This initiative aims to provide free one-on-one counsel to those looking to enter the field of cybersecurity, giving back to the field, and helping to develop a future generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Throughout my academic journey at York University, the Information Technology Program has been pivotal for my professional growth. The program's extensive curriculum provided a solid foundation in programming, network administration, cybersecurity, and data management. Practical, hands-on projects and courses offered real-world experience, navigating the rapidly changing IT landscape. The emphasis on experiential learning, through group projects and peer collaboration, not only enhanced technical skills but also fostered vital cooperation and communication abilities essential in the fast-paced IT industry.

Grateful for these experiences, I am poised to contribute meaningfully as I embark on a successful career in Cyber Security.
