Tosin Akinwekomi is a seasoned advisor and leader with 17 years of progressive experience across Financial Services, Non-Profit Management, and Government Administration. He has a proven track record in strategy development, change management, finance, and risk management.

In his current role as Senior Director at CIBC, Tosin leads strategic initiatives, projects, and programs within the bank's Contact Centres.

Outside of work, Tosin is actively involved in the community. He serves as the Treasurer and Board Director for Visions of Science, a charitable organization dedicated to providing STEM education to youth from low-income communities across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Additionally, he holds the position of Mentorship Director for Royal Youth For Christ International Fellowship, a Christian and professional mentorship organization for youth and young adults.

Tosin's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce from York University, an MBA from Queen’s University, and a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility & Impact from Queen’s. He is also a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) and was honored with the 2018 CPA Ontario Emerging Leader Award.

My time at York University was pivotal in shaping both my personal and professional growth. The academic rigour expanded my thinking, while extracurricular activities honed essential soft skills like leadership, communication, and teamwork. The experience provided a strong foundation for navigating diverse roles across Financial Services, Non-Profit Management, and Government Administration. Over the four years, I also built friendships and networks that have been instrumental to my growth.
