Ahmed Ismail is currently Vice President, Relationship Manager at Wellington Management and mentored in the Advancing Black Student Program last year. He is also a founding member of the Black Opportunity Fund.
As an account manager, Ahmed is responsible for developing and enhancing both client and consultant relationships across Canada. This work encompasses close engagement with business development, relationship management, and product and portfolio management teams as they interact with our client and consultant relationships.
Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2018, Ahmed worked as an associate in the Institutional Client Group at Burgundy Asset Management (2016 – 2018) and as a business development manager/inside wholesaler at RBC Global Asset Management (2013 – 2016).
Ahmed earned his Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in finance from York University (2013). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Toronto.
