Tell prospective students a bit about the work you do.
I am currently leading federal-provincial-territorial-Indigenous negotiations to support the implementation of an Act respecting First Nations, Metis and Inuit children, youth and families. While challenging, it is both humbling and satisfying to do my part in advancing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples in this country.
Tell prospective students a bit about how your studies at York helped you to get where you are today.
My participation in the MPPAL program allowed me to advance in my career beyond a junior policy role to more senior positions. I worked for over a decade in the provincial government, followed by five years working at the municipal level in a senior position at the City of Toronto, and now have relocated to Ottawa to pursue a career with the federal government.
