Felicia Falconer
Criminology and Human Rights & Equity Studies
As someone who is interested in the law and human rights, it's important for me to have an education about these subjects. It's impossible to properly understand the impact of law or the importance of human rights without stepping outside of your own experience and exposing yourself to the realities faced by those belonging to different socioeconomic backgrounds, genders, and races.
Through the interdisciplinary education and all of the various theorists and perspectives I've been exposed to in the Human Rights and Equity Studies program, I'm able to think critically about how one legal decision has the potential to impact different groups of people in critically different ways.
