Grace Palombo is a Human Resources, Corporate Shared Services and Legal Executive who is currently in the role of Executive Vice President & Special Advisor at Great West Lifeco. Prior to working at Great West Lifeco, Grace served as EVP Human Resources for TD America’s Most Convenient Bank based in the United States and as the Senior Vice President Corporate Human Resources for CanWest Global Communications in Toronto, Ontario. Grace’s expertise is in executive management focused on performance and growth, including corporate restructuring, transformations and acquisitions in innovative, digital and customer centric work places.
Grace has held other various executive and director positions in the areas of Human Resources, Legal and Corporate Services. Grace practiced law in Toronto, in the areas of Corporate, Employment, and Labour Law. Ms. Palombo also served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Union Gas.
Grace holds a Law Degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Grace has also served as a Director on various public company and not for profit Boards in Canada and the United States. She has served on HR, Compensation, Pension, Corporate Governance, Risk, Innovation and Technology Board Committees. She currently is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Conference Board of Canada, Council of National Human Resource Executives, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Women's Law Association and the Women's Executive Network. Grace was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network in 2018.
