Helen is the IT Audit lead in the Internal Audit Department for OMERS and OXFORD.
Helen provides assurance and advisory services focusing on the IT risk universe which includes assessing management of risks and controls related to cybersecurity, disaster recovery, logical and physical security, systems development, IT operations and third party risks. In addition, Helen’s responsibilities include managing the IT portion of the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program.
Prior to joining OMERS Helen was a Senior Manager in the Technology Risk group at Ernst & Young where she spent 15 years managing teams providing assurance for external audit engagements of large Financial Institutions and advisory services to various industries such as Retail and Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Cannabis, etc.
Helen has a Bachelors degree in Information Technology and Statistics from York University and is CISA certified.
Helen and her husband Andrei have three children Alliya - 13, Maksim - 10 and Benjamin -6 who love sports and animals.
