Jane Evans is Head Culture and Behaviour Risk for BMO Financial Group. In this role, she leads the creation of a new enterprise operational non-financial risk function, establishing leading organizational capabilities to ensure the effective management of culture and behaviour risk. Prior to this appointment, Jane has held leadership and organizational development roles at BMO in People and Culture, and in Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking. Over her career of 20 plus years, she has led Organizational Effectiveness, Employee Listening & Analytics, Leadership Development, and Canadian Diversity and Inclusion. Working in collaboration with leaders, employees, customers, and community groups, Jane has been the People & Culture architect of BMO’s values, culture, and purpose, to Boldly Grow the Good, in Business and Life.
Jane was born in Saskatchewan, raised in Montreal and lives in Toronto with her husband and two children. She holds a multidisclinary Liberal Arts BA in culture studies from York University and is a founding alumni mentor for York’s Advancing U mentorship program.
