Classical Studies
The Classical Studies program has a good selection of courses, covering all major areas of Greek and Roman antiquity - language, literature, history, philosophy, religion, culture, and society. York also has an exceptionally strong group of instructors in the field of Classical Studies. They are known for their research as well as for their excellence as teachers. Classes tend to be small which enables the formation of class spirit. You get to know your peers, there is good morale, and you're able to get more one-on-one instruction from your professors.
