Michael Adia
Health & Society 2015
Health and Society has equipped me with a strong foundation in critically examining structural and institutional health inequities and necessary skills in assessing needs of communities who are often marginalized because of their race/ethnicity, class, gender and other social locations. Health and Society's interdisciplinary program in policy, health, social sciences/sociology, and disability studies has helped me ground my social work practice within an anti-oppressive and social justice framework.
