As an alumnus of York University, I have been inspired by the innovative and interdisciplinary programs that I experienced as a YorkU student that I have adopted these values and approaches in my professional practice as an educator and school leader. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies, I further developed my linguistic and intercultural understanding skills through completing both a Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese and Italian, while also participating in a Summer Abroad program in Bologna, Italy. These enriching academic experiences provided the foundation for a rewarding career as a secondary school teacher and school administrator.
