As an HR Business Partner, Susanna Hunter believes in the importance of talent to help drive business results and meet goals. From strategy to project delivery, Hunter looks for opportunities to increase organizational performance through improved HR or organizational development practices. She has a love of learning and helping others achieve their potential. Hunter is currently the AVP, HR business partner for Sun Life's corporate finance, risk and internal audit functions after working with the individual insurance and wealth businesses. Hunter joined Sun Life in May 2018 from a small consulting and research firm where she focused on helping organizations meet their strategic goals by improving HR and talent processes and increasing employee engagement. She has led both generalist and specialist HR teams in organizations ranging from 65 to over 70,000 employees across a number of industries including financial services, technology, and marketing communications and advertising. Hunter has earned a Master of Education with a specialization in workplace learning & change from University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute of Studies in Education as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from York University. She has received the Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) designation and Certified Coach Practitioner (CCP) certification. She is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association and the Organizational Design Community.
