York University’s Anthropology Program was ranked 4th in Canada in the 2017 QS World University Rankings. The department improved on its rank of 8th last year. The same organization ranked the program in the top 100 internationally. With 15 faculty members and eight affiliates, we are one of the largest socio-cultural Anthropology departments in Canada. The program is also innovative, and includes a minor program in “Medical Anthropology,” and in “Advocacy and Public Engagement Training”.
