Reading Week

Reading Week is taking place from October 12 to 18 and the York U campus has many great activities and events that you can take part in.

The Career Centre is a great hub. They have information on jobs, events, postings, mentoring and more. During the Fall Reading Week, they have several workshops and a Faculty of Grad Studies event. 

York International has webinar sessions on studying abroad, global internships info sessions, a Thanksgiving lunch, drop in hours as well as Coffee Break where students can Join the Global Peer Program on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for a Coffee Break in the Global Cafe! This is a great opportunity to meet new and old friends, ask senior students and York International staff questions about York or Toronto. All students are welcome and no pre-registration is required.

There are also services on campus that are there to assist you.

Learning Skills Services offers a range of Learning Skills Workshop topics designed to promote academic success, from Time Management and Reading & Note-Taking, all the way to Exam Prep, depending on the time of year.

Academic Advising helps you to make informed and thoughtful decisions about your academic pathway as you progress through your program.

If you want to enhance your ability to produce effective academic and professional writing, then head over to the Writing Centre and take advantage of their writing support programming.
