Job Description:
The ideal candidate will assist the media officer in growing our social media presence. They will be tasked with identifying social media trends, developing a strategy to increase ODLAN's social media reach, and making educational video content such as reels to share with our audience. The student may be assigned other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Experience with and comfort using social media (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin)
- Strong copy-editing skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Knowledgeable on video editing tools
- Comfortable creating and appearing in video content
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
- Working understanding of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Publisher
- Working understanding of Google Drive and related functions (Sheets, Docs, Meet, etc.)
Additional Assets:
Deep understanding of and commitment to anti-oppression and anti-racism
Strong understanding of barriers that 2SLGBTQIA+ folks face in accessing online resources and services, gained through lived experience, formal or informal education, work experience, and/or volunteer experience.
Experience working or volunteering with, a not-for-profit, registered charity, 2SLGBTQ+ communities and/or social justice organization/environment.
